Paris

While the rest of America was getting ready for Thanksgiving, I hopped on a flight to Paris for my annual Europe trip. With my new evening wear and lingerie collections coming up, I was especially excited for all the new inspirations Europe would give me.

After checking into our hotel, Jinhee, my design assistant, and I immediately began our vintage hunt. With the vintage store listing we made back in L.A., we were ready to take on store after store in search of vintage gems of early 1900s that would serve as inspirations for my new lingerie collection. While some stores were a miss, many others proved to be quite fruitful. We returned to the hotel with an armful of shopping bags.

That night, we had a chance to dine at one of the most exclusive restaurants in Paris, courtesy of our good friend Phillip. I’m a huge seafood lover, so the sight of the enormous seafood platter filled with jumbo shrimp, crab and oysters immediately made my mouth water. Yum! Of course, we couldn’t finish them all – I wish we had brought the leftovers back to our hotel.

The next day, we resumed our shopping adventures – even rain couldn’t stop us! We especially loved digging for old Isabel Marant pieces at J’y Troque and luxury designer items at Didier Ludot. After what seemed like hours in the freezing cold (to the point we could no longer feel our ears), we finally headed back to the hotel. Us Californians really can’t do cold weather.

Stay tuned for my next sweet journey in Belgium – especially if you’re a chocolate lover ;)
