Somethings come better in twos.  After creating my hand embroidered floral and tulle dress, I fell in love with it so much that I decided to make a shorter version of the dress.  With minor changes in length and color, the dresses give off completely different moods.  With the original floor length gown I used ivory tulle, making the white linen floral patterns on the dress pop, which creates a dress that is graceful and feminine.  With the tea-length dress  I decided to go a bit more dramatic, using black tulle to create a gown that has a moodier tone perfect for a reception or a night out.

There is so much that goes into making a beautiful dress, and it all starts in the details. Believe it or not, each flower and petal was hand cut, then hand stitched piece by piece along with the leave and floral patterns!  It would be an understatement to say this took a lot of time.  But the results are beautiful and ethereal, which is why this dress holds a dear place in my heart :).
